October 7th, 2007: Peace March Perugia-Assisi

Thousands of people from all over the world will walk together from Perugia to Assisi in the name of peace and non-violence. There will be hundreds of scouts and we hope you will be there as well. We will celebrate together the Centenary of Scouting and will reaffirm the commitment of scouts towards peace, as BP said: “ Brothers scouts, I ask you to make a solemn choice .If it be your will, let us go forth from here fully determined that we will develop among ourselves and our boys that comradeship, through the world-wide spirit of the Scout Brotherhood, so that we may help to develop peace and happiness in the world and good will among them. Brother scout, answer me: will you join in this endeavour?

5-6 October 2007: UN of the Youth

The Assembly of the UN of the Youth was born in 2003 and was repeated at Terni in 2005 . The Assembly of the Youth wants to be a great occasion of a getting together organised by and for the youth. “Will I have a long-life job?” Is there anyone who is deciding for my life and my future?”, “How can I build a world more truthful than the one I inherited?” these are some of the questions that upset young people all over the world and will be at the centre of the Terni Assembly. Two days of free confrontation to saying, making and communicating peace. Two days will make it possible to many young people to know each other and to speak directly to one another. Thematic Hints

“Peace day by day” means to make every effort to give hope and confidence to the Others through the use of ones’ own Rights and the defence of those of the others. Scouting teaches us that our walking cannot be worthless. It becomes fruitful only if it has a goal, a purpose.
For this reason we propose you some thematic hints to prepare the UNYA and the Peace March.

Rangers and Rovers invitation

The Federation has prepared a letter to invite Rangers and Rovers to take part in the UN of the Youth Assembly and a Registration form to be filled in. Moreover you will find some additional documents that will help you prepare your path to the March.
